LA MAISON DE LENA

The multi-coloured Maison de Lena is like an ant hill of ideas, a kingdom for creativity, with a guiding principle: the child and childhood … Here, the authors work alongside illustrators and more recently with designers, to create books for children. It was in this way that the first collection of Maison de Lena furniture was created, the result of an unusual meeting between Sophie Zaessinger, an author, and Pierre Maffi, a designer of contemporary furniture. La Maison de Lena furniture is made by French artisans, in traditional rattan and in resin; it could be described as ‘clever’ furniture, allowing children maybe to hide, or just to sit and chat. The furniture is comfortable and aesthetic, combining traditional charm with a unique contemporary design.
