It was during a visit to India that Manuella Moolan discovered the art of hand-weaving and the beauty and sophistication of the materials; she became seduced by the cultural traditions linked to shawls and in 2008 decided to launch the brand Ahilya. She is committed to preserving and engaging with Kashmir’s textile artisans and their traditional technical processes. The cashmere used by Ahilya is hand-spun, hand-woven and hand-dyed by local artisans and Manuela regularly visits them in her workshops in Srinagar. The fluidity and richness of Ahilya shawls and the infinite number of ways they can be worn make them timeless, almost defying fashion trends, not only for you but also your baby. Manuella has now created a baby range with Tumble scarves, which gently caress babies’ delicate skins. We have chosen soft, Spring colours (ivory, rose petal, taupe …) as well as unique and vibrant colours: coral red, emerald green and lapis blue. The scarves are 100% natural, hypoallergenic and anti-irritant and should be hand-washed with Savon de Marseille or a delicate hand-wash lotion.
