Kidsonroof is the result of teamwork between Romy Boesvelt and Ilya Yashin. Their principal source of inspiration comes from weekends spent in the natural environment around their mountain hut. And surrounded by their little blonde-haired children, the couple developed their collections. Ecology and protection of the environment are their main preoccupations, so all the products are produced in recycled cardboard. They also ensure that there’s plenty of opportunity for children’s own creativity: the building game in cardboard, a dragonfly to assemble, mushrooms pushing up from the foot of the tree, all the products in the Totem series can be mixed, matched and combined. These self-assembly 3D objects are way above the normal concept of a cut-out cardboard hut.
