There was once a man convinced that children were being brought up with just school books for purely an academic purpose, and were seriously lacking more entertaining literature. Following this thought, in 1965 Ecole des Loisirs was born. The publishing house today offers a selection of around 3500 titles of childrens French literature and publishing more than 250 titles each year.
