Minä Perhonen can be described with a lovely anecdote: the brand was born out of a Japanese designer’s love for Finnish culture. In Finnish, "Minä" means “I” and "Perhonen" means “butterfly”, the desire to create clothes that are as beautiful as the wings of a butterfly! That’s because at Minä Perhonen, everyone takes the time to dream. Each piece is the result of a handcrafted process from the original sketch to the prototype; the fabrics are created in conjunction with companies involved in the fields of home or design. Minä Perhonen has also participated in a number of exhibitions, in collaboration with international artists.
